How to opt out in AI training: Tumblr

For Tumblr users on the app:
  1. Go to your account settings, and choose the blog (if not already selected) located in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Tap the gear icon, select "Visibility," and activate the "Prevent third-party sharing for [your blog name]" toggle.
For Tumblr users on the web:
  1. Click this link.
  2. Scroll down until you see the "Visibility" section, enable the "Prevent third-party sharing for [your blog name]" option. If you've previously opted to discourage searching for your blog, then the "Prevent third-party sharing" feature has been automatically activated for you. The following content will not be shared with our licensed network of content and research partners, including those involved in AI model training:
    • Posts and reblogs from blogs that have enabled the "Prevent third-party sharing" feature. Posts and reblogs from deleted blogs.
    • Posts and reblogs from password-protected blogs.
    • Posts and reblogs from explicit blogs.
    • Posts and reblogs from suspended/deactivated blogs.
    • Private posts.
    • Drafts.
    • Messages.
    • Asks and submissions not publicly posted.
    • Post+ subscriber-only posts.
    • Explicit posts.

You can also use redact to protect your account and your data by programmatically deleting all content that you have generated on the platform. Doing this ensures that these models never use your information, (you can set custom deletion schedules for your content) in training these data sets.
